An FYI for anyone heading to Paris, some of the tourist sights have some current construction.
Eiffel Tower - some work underneath the bottom. Won't affect your visit.
Saint Chappell - several of the stained glass windows are being reconditioned and are covered. Only 2-3 of the windows the rest are open.
Arc de Triumph - scaffolding is up on the north side of the tower.
Mont St Michel - lots of construction. The new causeway and a lot of work right in front of the island and also some scaffolding up on part of the front of the abbey.
All still worth seeing for a first timer.
Pantheon dome is covered and pendulum removed.
Eiffel Tower first floor IS affected by construction, limited by about 50 per cent of the area yesterday.
Lots of scaffolding in many areas.
Central fountain at Versailles is being reconstructed.
Nice that these monuments are maintained.
