We will be in Paris in early May. Would like to find a show that is very Parisian, but not so touristy. Not really interested in Moulin Rouge type shows. Even just a club with very french music would work. Looking for an off the beaten path gem if anyone can offer suggestions. I speak a little french, so I can get by if needed.

Go see an opera at the Palais Garnier, they have a electronic screen with English subtitles if needed. It's a beautiful opera house

I absolutely loved the concert I attended at Ste-Chapelle. It was in mid-September (mid-week), and we got our tickets the day before. They seemed to have plenty of tickets for any day of our stay. I don't know if that is typical or not. It's fairly expensive (but absolutely worth it), so you might want to wait until you get there.
Thanks for answering. Just wondering, did you have to stand in a long line to buy the concert tickets? Is it the same line for people touring Sainte-Chapelle? Is there a separate concert line?
