Paris Seine River cruise - but NO Euro pop music

I’m wanting to book a Seine River sunset cruise for the end of May, but I do NOT want the cruise to have pulsating Euro pop music playing all the time - I prefer something more soft and romantic or at least traditional French. Any suggestions on who to book with for this kind of trip? I know someone who took a trip recently, and said the euro pop was playing constantly during the cruise, and I really don’t want that.

Rent your own boat and play whatever you want. Le Boat is one option. We did this in England on the Thames river for ten days and it was marvelous.

if I were looking for a 2 hour sunset cruise I don't think I would get a hire boat for a week, or even a day.

This fall, we visited Paris for the third time and took our first Seine cruise. A few thoughts for you.

Since September weather was changeable day-to-day, we did not book in advance. That was no problem. I question whether you need to book in advance. We picked up our tix in the morning and returned in the late afternoon for the sunset cruise, but be sure to get in line early enough to get a top deck seat, at least 1/2 hour to 40 minutes before the cruise time. May weather is probably more reliable and if you want the comfort of having advance tix, that is understandable.

We used the Vedettes tour that was recommended by some on this forum. Music was not an issue, but clearly hearing the guide was. Tour started at the downstream end of Île de la Cité (by Pont Neuf) headed down stream past the Eiffel Tower, then back upstream as far as Île St Louis and back to the starting point.

Of all the things we have done and seen in Paris on our 3 visits (15 nights, 10 full days and 5 half days; many museums, churches, walks, parks, neighborhoods, markets, passages couvertes, cafes, restaurants and bakeries), I’d put the Seine cruise at the bottom of the list.

A leisurely dinner at a good restaurant, a walk along the Seine or through Paris’ many parks, or looking out on Paris from the Eiffel Tower or from a hillside overlook will be more romantic than a cruise with a boatful of tourists.

I took Vedettes du Pont Neuf in April. No problem with the music. Actually, the cruise is mostly live commentary. I wouldn't classify it as romantic. Still, it was an enjoyable way to see Paris lit up at night.
