According to this report in Le Figaro, there's a new development in the ongoing battle between the City of Paris and Marcel Campion, the guy who runs the Christmas market that was on the Champs-Elysées for the past few Decembers. You may recall that last year, the City did NOT give him his permit and refused to allow him to set up his market.
Well, now the Louvre has supposedly inked a deal with Campion to let him setup in the Tuileries. The article says that somehow the Tuileries Gardens falls under the purview of the Louvre and not the City (?!), so the Louvre can make this deal.
So . . . we shall see!
