Paris river cruises

We are in Oaris and would like to take a river cruise that will show and tell us about the city. Any recommendations?

Vedettes du Pont Neuf is a good cruise company with live narration. The dock is under Pont Neuf at the western end of Ile de La Cite. The cruise is about an hour and leaves about every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour. No need to buy a ticket in advance - just arrive at the dock about 15 minutes before cruise time. I believe you can get a voucher for a discounted ticket on their website, which will also give you more specific information about scheduled trips, etc.

Great topic. We want to be on the Seine for 1-2 hours for an inexpensive boat ride maybe at sunset.

In late October/early November, are their companies whose boats still have outside seating? Looking through a window does not make for great photos and we love the fresh cool air. Thanks.

You can always GO outside, even if most people are sitting inside in the warmth -- the outside seats are there year-round, or you can stand/stroll. Which company you choose may depend on where you are staying since some start near Eiffel Tower and the Pont Neuf location is easier from Latin Quarter/Marais areas.
