My husband and I will be visiting Paris for several days in October. Do you have any suggested restaurants you would recommend us visiting? We understand that are some, or most restaurants, that reservations are important and we are ready to start placing reservations.

I recommend the Paris By Mouth website for quality food suggestions. There is a small charge for short term access to their full website. I also recommend the websites of David Lebovitz and Dorie Greenspan. Both are food writers, he lives in Paris full time and she part time. Both share lots of suggestions for restaurants, patisseries, boulangeries and marches.
We were in Paris this March and one of our favorite restaurants was La Jacobine. It was not fancy, but charming. It is very popular so reservations are a must.
L’Initial is finer dining. They do take reservations via their website.
But I did find many place’s didn’t take reservations very far in advance.
