Paris restaurant recommendations that include food an 11 year old would enjoy

My granddaughter will always be happy with Steak and Fries, but my daughter and I seek authentic French food in non-touristy environment.

If you're near the LOUVRE, we love Le Souffle = you can see photos and read reviews on TripAdvisor, but def make a RSVP on the Le Souffle website - it is tiny and crowded. Great savory and sweet soufflés, french onion soup, etc.

I was just in Paris with my 11 year old granddaughter and here are the places we ate and enjoyed:

Cafe de Flore: My granddaughter had the club sandwich with chips and a drink. This is one of the oldest restaurants in Paris, and has many authentic French dishes on the menu, but both my grandkids (her brother, age 15, was also there) liked the club sandwich (and the chocolate chaud).

Maison Miele: Located in Montmartre, this cafe offers breakfast and lunch items. My granddaughter loved the crepes. She chose the ones with Nutella but they had other options as well. And I was happy with my Salmon Poke Bowl.

Au Petit Suisse: Located in St. Germain, this was a favorite. The food was excellent and they had a variety of choices there. Both kids loved their order (roasted chicken with fries and salad) and my dish was wonderful. A lot of locals eat here.

Also, don't forget the joys of letting her discover the wonderful boulangeries, patisseries, pastry shops, etc. My GKs both enjoyed sandwiches from Erik Kayser Boulangerie, which has a number of locations, and loved every pastry they were allowed to have.

We always made a big ceremony of letting kids choose an afternoon pastry from a bakery -- we usually took them to a park to eat.

Industrial, but not terrible food -- the Bouillon Chartiers or the Bouillon Pigalle. Huge menu of French standards but lots of kid friendly stuff AND it is cheap so you dont' have to be upset getting an expensive dish that the kid won't eat. My granddaughter tried snails at one. but they have fried chicken and spaghetti and other kid friendly dishes as well as the old standards. The one in Montparnasse has an absolutely stunning room.
