Paris Restaurant Recommendation

Hi!
We are traveling with a family of 9 this summer and will be in Paris for a few days. We're staying in the Latin Quarter and I think it would be nice to have a reservation one night so we could all sit together. I'm thinking traditional French cuisine and atmosphere. Nothing crazy fancy because we will have kids with us but also not super casual. I want the kids and the adults to have a good experience and they're old enough to enjoy restaurants and try new foods. I'd also like to avoid anything touristy.
Does anyone have a recommendation that could fit the bill? Again, we're in the Latin Quarter but open to other areas!

Thanks in advance!

The Polidor is right in the Latin Quarter, has long tables and a lively atmosphere. Normally they don’t take reservations, but I have seen a tour group or two, so they may accommodate 9 with a reservation.

I second Au Bourguignon du Marais - we had a great meal there as a family of 5😊

We also greatly enjoyed Au Bourguignon du Marais. A second, wonderful restaurant, Au Vieux Comptoir, is just a 15-min walk away and very near Sainte Chapelle.
Au Bougnat is just a 10-min walk from Au Bourguignon du Marais and right behind Notre Dame. All three are charming. Au Bourguignon du Marais's seating was generous with tables further apart than we are used to in Paris. Au Vieux Comptoir is quite small and definitely needs reservations for its quality meals--I wish I could show you the photo of the meringue that I had there!
All three are a short, scenic walk from each other. All are atmospheric and have that "French" feel but none is formal.
Family vacations in Europe or another foreign country are the best! We just returned with our family of eight from Barcelona, Fes, the Sahara Desert and Marrakech. Two years ago we all were in Costa Rica. Enjoy making great memories!

I love this thread! In July we too….family group of 11 with kids are staying in Latin Quarter. We have learned from traveling in Europe together before…reservations are necessary for large groups. Whats difficult is sometimes while visiting sites you dont know your exact timing. We would prefer an earlier dinner. 6:00-7:00? What earliest time is possible in Paris? We were in Barcelona…very late dinners! We ended eating an evening meal buffet in recommended department store upper level. That worked out well. Does Paris offer similar possibilities?

I always reserve for dinner.

Most restaurants open at 19h30, taking the last reservation at 21h00.
