Paris public transport best option?

I will be in Paris 3 days this summer and will have this itinerary: 1 day to Versailles, 1 day to Le Louvre/Arc de Triomphe/Champs Elysees, 1 day to Tour Eiffel/Military museum. I am staying in a hotel near St. Sulpice Church on Rue Bonaparte. What is the most affordable and convenient travel ticket(s) for the public transport system? I know I will be using the RER, metro and buses, and assume several metro uses per day. Thanks!

Versailles: point-to-point return ticket. 4.05 EUR each way
Other than that. t+ tickets at 2.10 EUR each. If you think you might have 9 trips all told, you can get a 10-ticket carnet or 16.90 EUR.
