Paris Potential Strike - Oct 13th

Hi All,

On another (admittedly less informed) travel site I'm on, someone mentioned in the last day or two that there's a possibility looming of a transportation strike on Oct 13th.

I did some Googling and couldn't confirm anything. All I saw was a strike on that date 2 years ago.

We're planning on taking a day trip to Disneyland Paris that day (not popular here, I know), so I'm wondering the validity of that information? I know strikes are somewhat common in France, I'd just like to be prepared for what that could look like for getting there and back.
Would all metro and RER services stop or would it just be limited? Would there be options other than Uber to get back into the city at night?

Maybe there's zero truth to it, but I know the folks here would know!

Thank you

PQ

Strikes must be announced in advance and the only announcement for a transportation strike is from the SNCF which ends 1 September. There might be something in October but there is absolutely nothing concrete.

It is too far out to worry about. Strikes happen all the time and many that are announced don't materialize. There tend to be a lot in May and so when that was being flapped about I decided to fly to Geneva instead of train as I had gotten caught in a strike trying to get to Berlin from Amsterdam a couple of years ago and burned up a crazy day trying to get to Berlin and our reserved apartment.

So I outsmarted myself. Flew to Geneva and ended up getting bumped on the AF plane in Paris when they changed equipment and we lost our day in Geneva. Did get there for our two planned days including a difficult to arrange private tour where tourists normally can't go. It was that special tour that made me choose flying in fear of a train strike.
The trains were fine that day LOL
