Hi we will be in Paris for a week and traveling to Lyon and LePuy, then heading back to Paris on our last night to take the train to CDG airport, our flight doesn’t leave until the afternoon so we were thinking of staying in Paris and not near airport
Any suggestions?
Mid range priced hotel preferable
Stay near Luxembourg, Gare du Nord, Saint Michel Notre Dame, or Chatelet-les-Halles on the RER B line so you have an easy trip to the airport on departure day. Here is a suggestion near the SMND stop: https://hoteleurope.net/en/. Where are you staying during the first stop in Paris?

Glad to help. I asked in case you wanted to stay in a different area. Another option could be near Chatelet-Les-Halles, which is 1 stop on the RER A from Gare de Lyon and as I mentioned before on the RER B line. If that interests you, the Novotel there and the Hotel Le Relais des Halles are good options.
I agree better to stay near the RER B in Paris than the airport but if you choose the airport don't stay NEAR, stay AT. There are many hotels right AT the airport on the CDG VAL intra airport transport. If coming back to Paris before a flight we get dinner on the road and then stay at the Novotel. but unless you have a very early flight, it is best to spend that last night in Paris.
The area near the St. Michel RER B stop is also nice -- we sometimes stay at the Henri IV Rive Gauche
