Paris Orly Airport into/out of Left Bank

My husband and I will be landing in Paris and leaving Paris out of the Orly Airport. We will only have carry on bags. I have read that potentially the best way for us to get to our hotel on the Left Bank is taxi.

When arriving in Paris: Our flight arrives at 11 AM, Is it best to take the taxi from the taxi stand or should we order ahead? Is there a better company to order from? Or is there a better way?

When leaving Paris: Our flight leaves Orly at 7 am. Should we Uber from our hotel to the airport? I’m not sure how to order a taxi and/or if it’s better.

All advice is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Taxis from ORY to/from the Left Bank have fixed fares of 35€. From ORY, simply follow the signs for taxis and join the fast moving line for Taxis to Paris. There is a second line for taxis to the surburbs (taxis de banlieue d'Orly). All taxis departing from the taxi stand are Taxis Parisiens and operate equally.

For a 07h00 ORY departure, I usually arrange with Bolt for pickup at between 05h00 and 05h30. You can arrange for FreeNow, Uber, or Taxi G7, all have apps. Taxis will charge an additional 4€ dispatch fee, 7€ additional if you call and arrange for pickup at a later time.

Taxi drivers are not tipped.

Since you are staying at a hotel, you could ask the front desk to call for a taxi for you for the departure or get the input of the desk person on when to arrange the taxi. That sort of service is one of the benefits of staying in a hotel.
