we (2 adults and 2 10-14 years old) will be in Paris for ine week in july. We have seen a nice appartement not far from STrasbourg-St-Denis metro on rue du Faubourg St-Martin. The ad says that this is in the theater district (???). We wont be out at (I guess) midnight but we still need a safe neighborhood that allows us to visit Paris !

There are indeed many theaters in the vicinity, and lots of restaurants too. It is a good area to stay, fairly central and not too touristy. No safety issues to report (I live about 500 metres away).
Truthfully, it's one of my favorite areas. Some great restaurants in the quartier.
The sun sets quite late too, around 9:45, at start of July. I always appreciate the extra daylight, with navigating streets, signs, and environment in general. Have a great trip!
