Has anyone done the 'during construction' organized exterior tour? Seem to recall the old cathedral tour pre-fire also extended outside. Wonder if it's same except for addition of the Archaeological Crypt. Appreciate any insight for those who visited since April 2019.
Oh gosh, I didn't know there was one! Do you have a link to the tour provider?
We were there at Xmas…did not see any tours of the exterior….there are plywood walls and scaffolding everywhere…you can’t see much… the crypt is worth it!
I was just there. If they’re doing tours it’s a deep secret. they are not really at that stage yet
if somebody selling that tour I’d be very careful about booking it without getting some details to verify it’s really happening. It’s very much an active construction zone.
I did see several tour guys walking their customers around the outside showing them the exhibits and talking about it but I don’t think that’s what you had in mind.
There is a virtual reality tour of the Cathedral as it is under re-construction. https://www.orange.com/en/newsroom/press-releases/2022/eternal-notre-dame-immersive-expedition-through-time-and-space
A friend recommended it; I have not done it yet.
Seems like maybe it's not actively happening. Here is a link to the info on external tours

Interesting....thank you for the site. Before the fire I'd done a tour of Notre Dame with the Casa group which was excellent although that one was just the interior.
The calendar shows up but since it doesn't show a meeting time, I'd guess you are right that they are not doing them now. I'll volunteer to be the guinea pig and go by there a couple of times next month to see if I can see anything. Several of us will be in Paris the same time so maybe one of the others will see something as well.
