Paris & Normandy with a 16-year-old in late November — looking for ideas

We’re planning a 7–8 day trip to France in late November with our 16-year-old grandson. It will be his first time in Paris, although we’ve been there several times before.

We’re all interested in art, architecture, and history, so we’ll definitely do some of the classic Paris sights, but we’d also love to find some less-obvious, fun things to do that a teenager would enjoy.

A few questions for those who know Paris well:

-What are some fun or unusual experiences in Paris that work especially well with a 16-year-old?
-Any museums, neighborhoods, activities, food experiences, or day/evening activities that you would particularly recommend?
-He would really like to see the D-Day beaches in Normandy. Is late November a bad time to do this? We realize the weather may not be ideal, but we’re wondering whether it is still worthwhile.
-Are there Normandy/D-Day tours that operate in late November, or does the low season make this difficult?
-If you had 7–8 days in France with a teenager in late November, would you spend all of it in Paris, or would you add another destination?

We’d love to hear from people who have done Paris with teenagers or have visited Normandy in the late fall. Thanks!

I have done Paris and Normandy when my kids were middle schoolers and teenagers. Now they are young adults. I think key is letting them be involved in some of the planning. Also we let our teenage son have some down time to do some things on his own. He enjoyed the freedom to spent his own time on his own for a bit

The first time we went to Paris Disney. If a Disney fan at all it is quite different than state side.
We were in Paris over thanksgiving and they enjoyed seeing the Christmas decorations and markets.
Normandy we stayed at an amazing guest house where they took us on a tour of the sites and Mont St Michel. It was an amazing two days.
Enjoy
