Paris Neighborhood Help

I am traveling with a group of 7, including 2 small children. I am considering a place near Parc de Buttess Chaumont; the exact address is 15 rue de plateau. Can anyone tell me if this area is safe??

Safe from what?? I can't help with safety. I feel safe there but I husband says that I feel safe everywhere in Paris. I do know that you are across the street from the very well-reviewed Restaurant Quedubon and near the gorgeous La Mouzaïa quartier, which feels a little like the country in Paris. If you do not get a specific answer here, you can look at reviews on TripAdvisor or a site like that for reviews of the Adagio Parc Buttes Chaumont, which is about a 2-minute walk away. It's not super central but I like it over there.

Since the main "danger" to tourists is being pickpocketed.. you are actually safer in that area than some of the more popular more central areas. Pickpockets like crowds and tourists.. this area will have more locals.. who dont carry wads of cash around and are savvy to pickpockets.. so the pickpockets do not prefer to work in these areas.

Buttes Chaumont is a great park to take the kids to... after a few hours of museums and cathderals they will love to be able to run about and feed the ducks..

The only downside is that you will have to take the metro to all major sights as other than the park , none are within easy walking distance.. staying in a more central area does mean you can walk to quite a few sights ( but not all of course!)..

If you have found a nice hotel to stay in that area I would not hesitate based on fear of danger..

This is a super quiet, super safe residential area. You can easily walk to the #11 metro which is fast into central Paris.
