Paris Navigo Decouverte Card - Where To Purchase

I will be returning a rental car at CDG and then taking public transit to my Paris hotel. It appears that the Paris Navigo Decouverte card is no longer available for sale at CDG. Any information on where to purchase this card around/close to CDG?

I suggest that you go into Paris and purchase the pass at a metro station in Paris.

The Office of Tourism is listed as a point of sale here.
6 All. du Verger, 95700 Roissy-en-France, France
Opposite side of the A1 Expressway from the airport, across the street from the Paris Marriot Charles De Gaulle Airport Hotel.

Are you sure you want to return a rental car to CDG if you´ re staying in Paris? There are probably much better locations which would save you a lot of time.

From CDG, the only public transportation option that is not going to cost you 14€ (RER B) would be to take a bus somewhere at 2.05€ where you could purchase the ND card. From there, you will need to work your way into Paris. One possibility would be bus 350 from Roissypole to Porte de la Chapelle - 2.05€. Then purchase the ND card, load a pass, and continue. It will likely take more than an hour to reach Porte de la Chapelle.

When is your visit ? I bring this up , because if your departure is off in the future , things may change about the access to the Decouverte card after several months during the busy Summer travel season , You're not the only visitor reacting to this unwelcome change ( I am as well , although I have the card and think it may have expired ) and the policy about buying one could be altered in the future . No guaranties , of course , but it's a consideration

unhappy tourists are unlikely to change things -- the decision was made in order to make sure tourists pay the full fare to Paris. I would not be surprised if the ND becomes altogether unavailable to tourists at some point.

So return the car in Paris which is a bit of a pain as the rental stations in Paris are underground and hard to spot. Or take a bus from the airport to an RER station near CDG and get it there. Just looked up CDG to the nearest stop on the b line outside CDG -- no cheap trip -- any trip that ends at the airports costs 14 so that is not an option.

So either drop the car in town or take a cab for 56 or 68 or pay the 14 and get your ND in Paris at any metro station.

We had to buy a weekly pass on the app - IDF mobilities if you have an Android or BonjoirRatp for iphone. The physical card system was having an issue when we went to buy one. You must set up a navigo account either way and have a french phone number/sim card#. It allows you to take your photo in app when purchasing.

Otherwise you have to go to a stationed metro to purchase one and have your picture ready and hope their system is working. We spent about 2 hours on this fiasco one day. Luckily we didn't have to be anywhere immediately.

I can't imagine the other type would be much different.
