Should I buy the museum Paris passes at the airport or in advance and have them sent to the states? Can I buy them at terminal 1 or I would need to get to a different terminal?

Save money buy it at the Tourist Information Center at airport terminal 1 when you arrive or you can buy one at the first museum you got to. The museums where they are valid are points where you can purchase also.

Don't spend money to have them sent, just buy there.
The last few times I've bought mine at the Tabac (tobacco shop) down the street from my hotel. You can google street view your hotel area to see if you see a Tabac sign! Before a friend put me on to that I just went to a lesser visited site near my hotel to pick them up. If you want to tell us where you are staying we might be able to suggest a smaller museum where it would be easy to buy if you don't see a Tourist Info booth in Terminal 1. I would not bother going to another terminal - just so easy to buy them at many places.

Thank you so much for some great tips . I will try to pick them up at the airport or near we stay . We don’t have the exact location but the place is very near opera metro station .

You might go to googlemaps and search for Tabacs near Opera Metro and see what turns up just in case you don’t see the TI booth at the airport. This will be easier than it seems.

I just came back from there. I bought mine at the airport (T1). There's a large tourist information desk as you exit security I believe (near the Brioche Doree). No lines and super easy. I also saw some Tabacs carry them as well, but I'm not sure they all do. I'd avoid buying it at a major attraction.
