My husband and I will be in Paris this fall. We are planning to get a Paris Museum Pass. I notice that the Picasso Museum is covered by the Pass. My question to anyone who has been recently to the Picasso Museum with the Pass is, how does the Pass work if there is timed entry? Does having the Pass mean you do not have to plan your entry for a specific time or what?

We bought the timed entry even though we had museum passes. You can email the museum and get a timed entry which will beat the crowds if you get an early morning time and ensure entry. I don't think the pass is valid for the reopening of the Picasso but others may know for sure. Why would there be timed entry tickets if anyone with a pass could wander up and jump the timed entry line?
I don't know the answer but when I had a similar pass in Florence, I could walk to the head of the line of people with reservations with my pass and walk right in -- did this at the Uffizi and Academia. I see no reason why Picasso would not function the same way. They probably have reserved slots for passholders. There is nothing on their web site or on the Museum Pass web site to suggest that use of the pass at the Picasso Museum requires any sort of special reservation.
Perhaps someone who has done this will chime in. It is definitely included in the Museum Pass and it is my understanding that you present it for admission like an ordinary ticket and are admitted without standing in the ticket line.
I just went on the Picasso Museum website.. it clearly says the Museum Pass is welcome.
I used the Museum Pass to visit the Picasso museum last October. You do have to go to the counter to get a free Picasso entry ticket for the museum altho that does not seem to be explained anywhere. I walked up to the security guards at the inner doors with my Museum Pass in hand and they directed me to the desk. There was really no line, maybe one or 2 people ahead of me and I did not have any idea there was a timed entry. I just showed the Pass and they printed out a ticket. I had stopped by there on a whim...which is what I love about the Museum Pass!
