Hi! Has anyone been trying to register spots for Louvre online and they see blocked out dates or sold out days (for PMP time slot)? We will be in Paris before the Olympics and all the time slots are booked up from July 18-26. Has anyone had any luck getting a time slot within those days? Or has anyone got in with out a time slot. I tried purchasing a ticket just incase they have slots for that open but not for PMP and they’re also sold out.

I think this has to do with the whole weird maximum closure of things along the Seine from July 18-26 for the build out for the Olympics Opening Ceremony. I think that they haven't opened tickets for those dates precisely because of that. People are going to need a QR code to get to certain areas for those dates - and the Louvre may be trying to figure out how it needs to explain that to visitors for those dates, or whether their ticket alone will suffice for entry on those dates, etc.

Thanks for replying! I noticed that every other museum I tried to book with the PMP isn’t open yet for July. However for this museum specifically July opened up and you’re available to book all the other dates expect for July 18-26. You could be right I’ll hold off a little bit and just go in weekly to double check if they’ve opened up.

I'm in this very same position - we are booked for that period of 21-25 of july - and am now concerned that we may be in a situation that travel is overly complex. Let's hope this is resolved soon :)
