Paris, Museum Pass Question (for those under 18)

All, I’m going to Paris with family of 5 with 2 kids under 18 years old. Wondering if I should by Museum Pass for them anyway?

I understand that most museums offer free admittance for under 18. But, I also understand that some places (like Arc and Napoleon’s Tomb) may make you wait in line anyway to get the “free ticket” for kids. Yuck.

Is that true? I’m willing to buy the kids the Museum Pass if it means avoiding lines!

Thank you!

Firstly, I have never seen lines at the ticket counters at either the Arc de Triomphe or les Invalides.

Secondly, anyone under 18 needs no ticket and will enter with you as a pass holder.

Many people overspend for Museum Passes when they really do not make economic sense and in your case, I would not purchase MPs for my children.

Thx. Last time we were in Paris, I do remember horrendous lines waiting to go to top of Arc de Triomphe. Not sure if that was a fluke but definitely want to avoid . . .

Can you buy tickets for the Arc on line or at FNAC? I'd do that before blowing that much money to avoid a single line.

Thx. Good tip. Will try and let everyone know.

Does anyone know what key attractions require a “for free ticket” (for those below 18). Maybe the approach for Arc is best for all attractions for the kids . . .
