My son and his wife are going to Paris over Christmas for their honeymoon. I know they can use the Museum Pass at the Louvre and I know they need timed entry tickets. I have read some of the posts on the forum, but these were asking about the Leonardo Exhibit as well. My question is do they need the number on the Museum Pass to buy the tickets online for regular admission? Thanks for your help.
Carolyn,
Your question may be answered by some of this very recent discussion:

Carolyn, I just went through this process. They will need their museum pass numbers in order to obtain a regular timed entry ticket. I had our museum passes sent from France by DHL to our home in the states so that I could obtain the entry time I wanted. Now, if they don’t mind waiting in line they can wait until arriving in Paris to purchase their museum pass and wait in line at the Louvre to obtain a timed entry ticket. Either way regular admission now requires a timed ticket even with the museum pass. Hope this helps!
I don't know if I will have problems when I present my ticket at the Louvre, but I was able to get a timed ticket entry online using the reservation code I received for my PMP. I don't have time to have my pass DHLed, so I am picking it up in Paris.
