We want to buy the 6 day consecutively Paris Museum Pass, we will go the 1st and 2nd day, but plan to rest up for 1 or 2 days. Do we have to get the pass stamped 6 consecutive days? We are in Paris 7 days in Oct. The 6 day pass seems the most economical.
You will write your name and the date of first use on the pass. The clock starts then. You will have 6 consecutive days to use the pass. Do not write the date on it until you use it for the first time. If you are going to take days off, it would still be more economical to buy the 6 day pass. You can always hit one or two lesser known museums on your rest days. The good thing about the pass is that you can go many places that you normall might not consider with no additional cost.
I know your question was answered. You'll save 15 euros pp buy buying the 6 Day pass vs buying 2-2 Day passes. The 2 day pass is 42, 6 day pass is 69.
Great planning you did, enjoy!
Thanks for your responses, appreciate it.
Keep in mind that many major museums/sites close Mondays or Tuesdays so plan your days off and itinerary based accordingly.
Looks like your question has been answered. Have a great time in Paris!
This may sound funny, but the Museum Pass allows you places all over Paris to stop in and use the rest room for a few minutes, and you might just enjoy browsing a few minutes while you're at that museum on your "rest up" day.
Great point about the potties, Jean.
And you might want to pace yourself, going to a museum for a couple of hours in the morning but doing other things in the afternoon, in which case you might end up using it all six days. With the pass, you can always pop into a museum for an hour or more during evening opening hours. Full days of museums can be unnecessarily exhausting.
Great point Jean....we are between ages 70 and 80 so potty breaks are always needed. The 6 days passes are being mailed..
