While visiting museums in Paris, partner and I have always tried to be exactly on time for all our museum entry time slots. However, I don’t know the answer to this: if we arrive later than our entry time (say, an hour) will we still get in or would there be any complications at either the Louvre or Musee d’Orsay? Thank you for any insight you may have.
If you arrive late and not on time for your reserved time slot, you cannot expect to be admitted as soon as you arrive at the museum. Instead, you likely will have to join the general admission line without any guarantee of what time your entry to the museum will be.
This could be a problem—particularly at the Louvre—where the general entrance lines can be very long. The Musee d’Orsay lines can get quite long by 10:30am.
It may depend on how busy they are. Your ticket would likely still be valid, but you might be sent to the back of the regular queue.
Thank you both. That’s kind of what we thought. Appreciate your help!
