Paris Métro: Montparnasse to Bercy mid-June: how to detour around renovation works

Planning my cross-Paris trip on Thurs. 16 June, I found this notice on the journey planner

Work in progess : À partir du lundi 13 juin 2016, tous les jours suite
à des travaux de rénovation, la station Quai de la Gare sera fermée
sur la ligne 6 du Métro jusqu'au dimanche 28 août 2016.

Can someone who knows the Métro well please advise how to circumvent this "work in progress". My train is due at the Montparnesse station at 15.18, and I need to get to Bercy station to catch the Auxerre train at 16.31. The instructions I found elsewhere said it was about a 30 min. journey all on Ligne 6, which seemed easy. Now I'm not sure how I'll cope. I'll have hand baggage only but still won't want to trek too far. Should I just resign myself to taking a taxi instead.

OK, thanks avirosemail. I hadn't realized that "Quai de la Gare" is actually the name of a Métro station! I thought it was referring to access between the Métro and either Montparnasse or Bercy train stations. In the event the Thursday SNCF strikes may prove a bigger problem for me, not to mention any repercussions from the general strike on 14 June.

The metro ride itself is about 19 minutes but allow some time to find your way around inside each station -- I get easily disoriented, so the Metro platform inside Gare Montparnasse eluded me once -- I had to ask for directions at the ticket window. They must have assumed I was drunk!

Thanks for the warning about Montparnasse, avirosemail. I should have plenty of time. I do know that, at the other end of this journey, the Bercy Métro and SNCF stations are 2 blocks apart.
