Hello -- seeing signs this evening along the Line 1 that from April 30 through May 4, line 1 will be closed between Porte Maillot and Concorde.
Just fyi for anyone planning to be here during those few days.

Thanks for the info Kim — it does affect us, unfortunately —our easy direct transition from one hotel to another is now an out of the way two train experience with all our luggage. We are packing lite though :-) And thanks to your heads up, I was able to plug in the alternate train info into our itinerary ahead of time, which I love. My husband is one of those enthusiastic people who is always looking around at everything instead paying close attention to the task at hand which makes transition days more of a challenge for me. Advance planning is key.

A cab within Paris will not break the bank (Porte Maillot to Concorde is no more than €15)... do not hesitate to take one!
