paris metro app to buy tickets?

Hi all:

I am hoping to buy paris metro tickets on my phone... buying tickets at the station when traveling is like the most stressful thing to me hahhah. I downloaded the RATP app and I put in the station I leave and would go to (as an example) and then it says "Buy Ticket" and when I click it it says to scan my pass... same thing if I just go to "Tickets" it wants me to scan some pass...

I guess what I am asking is if there is a way to buy tickets from your phone directly? On this app or somewhere else? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Only a handful of phones (mostly Samsung) can support tickets without a card.
Otherwise, the app is asking you to take your Navigo Easy or Navigo Découverte pass next to your phone to "charge" the tickets on the card.
Just find yourself a quiet metro station and buy your tickets there... The machines are usually deserted except when people recharge their monthly passes at the beginning of the month.

The ticket kiosks have screens completely available in English. Is it really that stressful?

OK thanks, I will just use the machines. And yes, I know they are in English, but I have had issues in the past in a couple of cities either getting my credit card to work, cash not going in, or the cash part being disabled... yes so for me that is a stressful part of travel, and I am looking for ways in advance to eliminate that if possible. Everyone has a part of traveling that is challenging for them, and this is mine.

Once you get the Navigo easy pass you can reload using the app. You put it up to the left hand corner of the front of your phone. Unreal. But it works!
