Paris - Latin Square store hours?

What are general store hours for the Paris Latin Square district? Are most stores closed on any particular day?

We are considering visiting this area on Monday, but as many museums are closed that day, I wondered if perhaps many stores were as well?

Appreciate your thoughts on this! Thanks, Ron

FWIW. the term is Latin Quarter not Square. Market streets tend to be closed up on Monday including their shops. Other shops should be open on Mondays.

What kind of stores are you looking for? I'm not much of a shopper, but I don't think of the Latin quarter as a shopping area, unless you are talking about boulangerie, patisserie, etc. I do like the convenience of the Latin Quarter as well as the vibe of the area. I was in Paris and staying in the Latin Quarter on a Monday and found plenty to do. If you have the Paris Museum Pass, it's pretty convenient for a check of attraction days/hours to determine what is open. On one of the Mondays I was in Paris, I went to the Arch de Triomphe and then walked the Champs de Elysees. Those stores were all open, though except to pick up some leggings at H & M, I didn't go into any of them. I walked all the way to the Touilleries and found it to be a lovely walk.

Shopping in the Latin Quarter should be wide open on Monday as the area is heavily touristed and loaded with students. Shops along Blvd Saint Germain, Blvd. Saint Michel, rue des Ecoles and rue Saint Jacques should be available. Of course, there are lots of book stores and even a spectacular camping goods store. Closer to the Odeon there are interesting boutiques that may or may not be open.

Moufetard is a market street so it makes sense that it is closed on Monday -- that is generally true all over France, although I seem to recall a few stores on Montogueil open last time we were there on a Sunday.
