Paris last day near airport or city? Please advise

I’ll spend 3 full days (not counting arriving and departing day) in Paris then go to Belgium and Amsterdam. I need to return to Paris to catch my return flight on Saturday at 2:40 pm. I need to be at airport around 11:30 am.
I’m not sure if I should spend the last day/night near the airport hotels and go to the city until night time or stay in the city close to the action and Saturday morning I have plenty of time to catch a Uber/Bus/etc and be on time at the airport.
I;ve been in other countries where the areas near the airport are death zones.
I would like to hear some input and ideas.
Thanks

I would recommend staying in the city for one last evening/early morning in Paris rathre than stuck at the airport that time

Personal choice, but I prefer to stay in town and enjoy my last night. As you said, there’s not much going on in many hotel areas near airports. Since your flight leaves mid-afternoon, you have plenty of time to take the metro, or whatever, to the airport.

Given that you have a mid-afternoon flight, that should be an easy decision. I've never stayed at an airport hotel, and certainly would not do so with an afternoon flight.

I would ( and have many times ) spend my last night in Paris - even with a flight that left at 9 am !!

In your case I would spend the last night in the airport hotel, getting there no later than 9 pm.

My last night in Paris, if flying back the next morning, is spent in the airport hotel, staying at the Campanille, a 2 star French chain. In morning I take the shuttle to CDG.

Definitely in Paris. CDG is so easily reached from Paris and the area surrounding the airport is charmless. If you're nervous about making your flight, just get up early the next morning (you will regardless of your location) and go for it. Have a taxi reserved on the G7 website and vas-y!

Last year I spent the night at a soulless CDG airport hotel because I had a very early flight. Other trips wouldn't dream of it. With an afternoon flight there's no need to stay at the airport.
