Does anyone have experience with a private guide for the L'Arc de Triomphe? I know we can get skip the line tickets, but I am wondering of there are any personal guides? There is some family history there and thinking it might be a little more personal and special with a guide who might have more insight/history? Traveling end of May 2020.

I have never seen a line at the Arc de Triomphe. I suppose it could happen but I can´t imagine it would be a very long line. Purchase a copy of the Michelin Green Guide for Paris. That will be all the guide you need.

I saw a substantial line last June that kept me from visiting. This May, I'll buy a ticket ahead of time.

Agree with PharmerPhil about lines -- we skipped the Arc because of the very long line (in the underground passage) to buy tickets, went back when we had a Museum Pass and sailed right in. No info on guides, we just read all the plaques downstairs ... and enjoyed the views from the top.
