Paris Jan 2-8th

My wife, college age daughter and I are concluding a Christmas vacation trip by ending in Paris for 6 night stay. Looking for suggestions on locations and suggestions to hunt for lodging. (Prefer apt.) I have been to Paris as part of a group several times and can navigate the public transit system. Looking for local flare/neighbor hood not to busy.
Thank You
David

Such general questions are difficult to answer. Considering your previous visits to Paris, you must have some ideas based on your interests, your budget, your previous Paris experiences and the guidebooks you've purchased for use on your previous visits. (I think you mean "flair" rather than "flare.") People here will be happy to help you after you refine your request. A place to start your lodging search is Booking.com. which supposedly lists only "legal" apartments and allows you to set filters according to your needs and desires. Good luck.

With your previous experience, you're more familiar with the ins and outs accommodation location wise so are freer to move around. In your planning, you should keep in mind that the days are really short and are apt to be grey and wet. MSM would not be a good plan unless you woke up in the morning to a guaranteed lovely day. Besides being wet and gray, the coast can be windy, the tides can be a problem.
