Paris Itinerary feedback please! (2.5 days)

Hi! My husband and I will be in Paris in two weeks from yesterday for 2.5 days, this will be our first time! Please provide any feedback on our plans so far, we want to be able to enjoy being there as well as fit in some of the landmarks

Day 1: Arrive 7am, settle in, eat (accounting for about 4 hours for all this) Once we are ready we plan to go see Sainte-Chapelle and Musée d'Orsay (need ideas for this day!) till our dinner cruise (Bateau Le Calife) which begins boarding at 7:45pm

Day 2: We purchased tickets for the Eiffel Tower for 1pm, what do you suggest we can fit in before the Eiffel tower after breakfast? Assuming we will spend about 2 hours at the Eiffel Tower, then enjoy self walking tour River Seine (Pont Alexandre III) then Champs-Élysées area - Arc de Triomphe (want to go the top around sunset time)

Day 3: We plan to check out Montmartre and Musée du Louvre same day (this is where i need major feedback!) Would it be best to go to Montmartre first, then Louvre? If so, how much time does an average person spend at Montmarte so we can purchase tickets for Louvre accordingly.
Also, what are the best options for transportation if staying 6th arrondissement

Please let me know if I can clarify anything and please add anything I may have missed that we may have time to see!

Congratulations! Be prepared to fall in love.

On Day 2, I'd keep the morning free and just wander around. There are some gorgeous parks that are well worth seeing. Get a feel for the city. Do some research. It is tempting to scurry from one attraction to another, especially when you have limited time. However, for me the charm of the city makes it such a wonderful place to visit.

The Metro is our preferred way to get from point A to point B. It is inexpensive. Download the Paris Metro app to your smart phone. It will show you how to get to a particular place, such as Montmartre, along with any line changes and the approximate travel time.

Is your day 1 an arrival from an overnight flight from the states? If so, I think that's an ambitious itinerary assuming you'll have some affects of jet lag. I try to stay outside as much as possible, rather than in a museum so perhaps your self walking tour would be a better fit for day 1. And personally, I know I couldn't stay up for a dinner cruise that starts at 7:45pm so maybe plan a nap.

I'll be in Paris just a few days after you! Enjoy your trip.

Hope you have checked for museum closed days and open-late evenings to maximize your time.

Agree that doing the museum on a first day is really pushing it, if you want to really enjoy that museum. I would also do a dinner cruise another day. I would be falling asleep around 7:45pm after trying to stay up all day.

For day 3 I would do the Louvre in the morning (early) to avoid the crowds. Using Rick’s audio guide you can hit the highlights. Stroll through the Tulleries garden, grab a crepe, sit by the pool and people watch for a bit then head to Montmartre. Doing it this way you won’t be under any stress having to get back in time for your museum tour.

Enjoy Paris! We are headed back in the spring and I can’t wait!
