Hi everyone,
does anyone have a good itinerary for 5 day trip to Paris that includes a day trip to Versailles as well as a day trip to Loire Valley.
June 15- Arrive 9.10 am (from Rome).
June 16- Paris
June 17- Versailles day trip - what is the best way to get here from Paris and any other advice on doing a day trip to Versailles?
June 18- Train to Amboise in the morning, rent a car and visit 2 chateux: Chambord and Chenonceau. Return to Amboise, have dinner and train back to Paris. I understand that a valid US driver's license is all we need to rent a car. Do I have to book early and is there anything else I need besides a US Driver's license to rent a car? Any tip on driving around the Loire Valley?
June 19- Last day in Paris. It's my birthday and would like to end our trip with a nice dinner. Recommendations on a great French restaurant in Paris.
Thanks in advance!
I would move your Loire Valley excursion to Tuesday, so you can take advantage of Louvre late opening on Wednesday. Buy a 4 day Paris Museum Pass (they dont do 3 days) for use Wed/Thu/Fri
