Paris in October - Lunch or Dinner Cruise?

I am traveling to Paris with a group of four 30-somethings in late October and I'm trying to decide between a lunch or dinner cruise. I've been to Paris a few times before but have never done a river cruise. I've read other comments on the forum about booking close to the date so you can be more sure of the weather. Doing a bit of research it looks like lunches can be a bit more reasonably priced, but do you think an evening cruise is better?

Thanks!

Personally, we'd not do either as we'd rather have a super lunch or dinner before (or after) and be able to pay attention to the sights going by as we cruise. But lunch / dinnerr cruises are offered by several companies. The reviews have been mixed in the past; some good, some not so good. You might want to consider a river cruise well after sunset. Vedettes du Pont Neuf is a river cruise company we've used several times, and we've never had to have a reservation. I think that is still the case. The evening cruises with the city all lit up give new meaning to "the city of light". Especially when the Eiffel tower twinkles. Please note that It is not a dinner cruise.

Day time cruises have not held that much interest for me, but I love the post sunset cruises. It's truly beautiful. And with thousands of very good to excellent restaurants on land, I would rather enjoy one of those either before or after the river cruise. I've also seen a lot of negative food reviews for the dinner cruises.

Having said that, Les Frenchies did a video of their dinner cruise on Le Calife, and they raved about it. Spoiler alert!:

The price was €149pp
