Editing to say thanks and that I am going to re-work Thursday and move Orsay (or the Louvre) to a different day. Still contemplating Giverny...
Bonjour! I am working on our Paris itinerary and would love some feedback for potential improvements. Will be there early October with my family (2 kids in early 20s). We arrive at 4pm at Gare du Nord on Monday (after 3 days in London), and are staying in the 6th arr (St Germain). We depart on Sunday morning to drive to Normandy, then Mont St Michel and the Loire. We will have 5 full days, which seemed like a lot when I started, but I am realizing it will go by very fast. (I am already planning another trip bc I couldn't fit Versailles in this one.) This is our first time in France and we are used to fairly active vacations, but we do enjoy some unscheduled time to wander and soak up the local vibes. Obviously, we want to see some of the top sights, my daughter is an art lover and my son is into history. Doing a day trip to Giverny because Monet is my favorite artist. Planning to get the museum pass bc I think if we can see the places we want, it will make sense. We are ok with only being in some of the museums for an hour or 2. I have tried to fit the things we are most interested in, and ideally, there is time to see them all (at least to get a taste). Don't care that much about shopping but we love French pastries. I do want to be able to spend some time in/look around Le Marais and the Latin Quarter and I don't know when exactly to do that. I also struggled with what to save for Saturday (last day) bc everything will probably be crowded-so maybe Monmartre/Sacre Coeur is better on a diff day? Here is my very rough itinerary. Thanks for the help!
