Paris in October: Airport Hotel & TGV Questions

Hello Everyone!

My sister and I will be travelling to Paris in exactly a month for two weeks. This is our first time in Paris and we're excited!

Our return flight is scheduled for 10am from CDG. We will be at Disneyland Paris the night before. Our plan is to take the TGV train from Marne-la-Vallee Chessy to CDG in the evening and spend the night at a hotel in the central airport (most likely the Ibis).

  1. Do you recommend we make a hotel reservation now or ask for a room upon arrival?
  2. How much time should we give ourselves to get to the terminal from our hotel? And are they walking distance or require other transport?
  3. We are purchasing the tickets online and trying to avoid the shipping cost; instead we plan to print them at the station before departure. Has anyone had trouble printing TGV tickets at TGV kiosks?

Any recommendations welcomed!
Thank you in advanced,
Esmeralda

  1. Make Hotel reservations now, as you'd hate to arrive and find them booked up. Also, if you just walk in and ask for a room, you will be guaranteed to pay their highest rate.
  2. The Ibis may have a shuttle service or there is the CDGVAL tram right by the Ibis that will get you to terminal 2F in a few minutes. Or Terminal 1 in the other direction if that is where you are going.
  3. You should be able to buy your train tickets and print them at home now and bring them with you. Don't even bother looking for your reserved seat. It takes the TGV 10 minutes to get from Chessy Marne La Vallee to CDG airport. Just stand by the door.

If you want the IBIS, join the Accor hotel club and get 10% off on prepaid reservations. Walking distance to CDGVAL shuttle train to your terminal. But eat before you get to the airport.
