Paris in May

Recommendations for a 3 days stay, hotel, allowing time for Notre Dame, Montemart, Sacre Cour Basilica, Eiffel Tower, Versailles. Central location. Will be river cruising afterwards. We don't mind walking and can pack the day. We also enjoy small group escorted tours and Hop on Hop off bus tours. Any feedback would be welcome.
Thank you,
Betty

How many nights will you sleep in Paris? If arriving after a trans-Atlantic flight don’t expect to do much because you’ll be struggling with jet lag. Arrival day is about settling in not sight- seeing.
If you can visit Notre Dame the day you fly in that will put you in the heart of Paris. The next day combine Montmarte (Sacre Cour) and the Eiffel Tower. The third day visit Versailles.

you would recommend?

Perhaps you should consider staying on Ile Saint-Louis. There are several hotels on the island, and It is as central a location as can be had. And it's right next to Notra Dame. The metro is close by so getting around is easy. With regard to breakfast, our experience has been that in large cities breakfast at the hotel is often too much money for what one gets. If you stay on the island, we can refer you to several places to eat, including a great little breakfast place.

Breakfast is seldom offered. I find it can sometimes be a good value and of excellent quality. But to each their own.
