Rick recommends going to concerts in churches, you should go over his list.
Between him, Fodors and Frommers you should be able to come up with more than enough things to do on a short trip (which factoring in travel might end up being really short).

Mid-March is a little early for things to be blooming, but if things warm up quickly, i'm sure there will be something. It can also still be just gray and rainy.
