Just a note of advice to watch out for sticker shock - September is the single most expensive month for hotels in Paris. And the Marais is very popular.

These are hotels I like in the Marais. Book directly with the hotel as early as you can. Prices will be at their peak, average prices listed below:

Just so you know, there is not one room available for two people in September at Le Pavillon de La Reine for under 700€ per night.

I checked these prices late winter, a few months ago. Hotels now dynamically price and costs can really vary depending upon demand. It is impossible to offer accurate rates for any specific date, other than the current date, for any hotel.

Rates just seem to go up and up.

Hello. In 2023, I stayed 5 nights at Charles V in the Marais and enjoyed it very much. I enjoy boutique hotels which this is. I was very happy with the location and access to restaurants, the metro, and wonderful places to walk to. The only thing that might pose an issue is the bath/shower. I stayed in a superior room and there was a bathtub with an extendable shower head but it could not be hung on the wall. I didn't mind taking baths instead of showers so we didn't bother to ask if there was a room with a shower instead.
