Spending 3 nights in Paris and looking for the following for 2 people:
Clean, safe area, easily walkable to restaurants/cafes and some major sites if possible. Looking to spend under $300/night with cancellation if possible. Ok to be small. Need air conditioning and bathroom in the room. There are so many choices. Will be there in mid July 2026.
If you feel strongly about a different area then the 1st or 4th please feel free to add that as well with recommendations.

What attracts you to the 1st or 4th?
Is this your first trip to Paris? Look for a hotel in 3 thru 6 within about a 15-25 minute walk to the Seine.
Here are a couple suggestions with AC.
Bonsoir Madame on the west side of Luxembourg Gardens in the 6th . 25 minute walk to Notre Dame, Sainte-Chapelle, Muse d'Orsay, Louvre...
Hotel Residence Henri IV, less than 5 minutes to some of the best croissants in Paris at La Maison d'Isabelle in the 5th. 10-15 minute walk to the Pantheon, Notre Dame and Luxembourg Gardens.

I have used Hotel Moliere in the 1st multiple times over the past 3 years when I want to stay in that area. It's a very nice place, excellent staff, and comfortable. They have AC, and the bathrooms are above average for anywhere in the city. https://hotel-moliere.fr/
