I've stayed in several in the Rue Cler area that had views of the ET but I'm not sure I'd call them "great", lol.
Hotel Relais Bosquet and Hotel Muguet both have a couple of rooms that have ET views. You are close by so you are just seeing the top. Hotel Beaugency also has a couple of rooms with ET views although last time I had to stand in the bathtub and open the window to see the tower sparkle at the top of the hour, lol.
One of the best "scenic" views I've had was from the view rooms of the Hotel l'Empereur (owned by the same group that owns Relais Bosquet) which overlook the gold dome of Napoleon's Tomb. That is not what you asked for but I was stunned at the lit gold dome at night.
You can’t get a better up close view than the Pullman Eiffel Tower. It’s not really a convenient location but the view of the Tower is excellent and the Tower view rooms are priced accordingly. The best panoramic view I have seen is from the Eiffel Tower view rooms at the Hotel Terras in Montmartre. You are across town and the Tower is in the background. Plaza Athenee also has a wonderful view. Jaw dropping views of the Eiffel Tower often come with jaw dropping prices.
Pam's suggestion is spot on !
There is another Accor Pullman location in Montparnasse . The hotel reopened a few months ago after a major multi year renovation . The North facing rooms (at a higher rate) have a dead straight view of the tower - https://all.accor.com/hotel/8189/index.en.shtml
I would focus more on the location and price and reputation of the hotel than the view. If you're in the room that much, you're in the room too much! There is more to Paris than that one tower, honest.
We stayed at the Relais Bosquet in a room with a view of the top part of the tower. Not bad, but in the end, really wouldn't spend that much more for a view when you can walk in five minutes to the real deal. We enjoyed spending evenings sitting on the lawn at the base of the tower with a bottle of wine and winding our day down waiting for the tower to sparkle. BTW, love the Relais Bosquet.
