Paris Hotels at Christmas limit 3500.00

So you are looking for 2 rooms? How many nights? Is "3500" in Euro? It's easier for most of us if you give a price in Euro per night.

Editing to ask: OK, by "Le Perla Hotel" are you meaning Hotel Le Perle on Rue des Canettes, the 3* in the 6th? And I assume you also meant Hotel Le Pradey on 5 Rue Saint-Roch, a 4* in the 1st.

Are you asking for $3500.00 total per night for two rooms (doubles each)? Or $3500.00 for two rooms for more than one night? If so, how many nights? If $3500.00 per night, that is $1750.00 per room per night. Very expensive even for Paris. Please clarify how many nights. Thanks.

My guess is that the OP is looking for around 4 nights, since the two hotels she is considering (Le Pradley and Le Perla) range from $400 to $500 a night. So at $3,500 total, that's $1,750 per couple and approximately $450 a night per room.

I’m looking for two rooms with queen beds a total of four nights the cost of both rooms not to exceed US$3500 if possible looking at the Saint Germaine area or possibly over by the Louve which is why I picked these two possible hotels, but open to other suggestion

As I calculate it OP is looking to spend up to 380 euro ( $437.50) per night/per room that has a queen size bed.

Hotel La Perle is a great choice that should be in budget. Allow me to suggest Hotel Odeon Saint Germain which is one of favorite hotels in that area in your price range. I’ve never heard of Hotel le Pradey so I looked it up; I am a Right Bank girl these days but even so I prefer the locations of both La Perle and the Odeon Saint Germain for your trip.

why do you prefer the right bank. We are going to christmas markets, lights, shopping and dining. It will be my girls first trip to Paris but my hubby and I have been before. any hotel recommendations on the right bank? Thanks so much.

You reference "my girls" included in your 4 adults. IMO, your girls will enjoy exploring the Saint Germain area or even the Latin Quarter much more than staying in a Right Bank hotel near the Louvre.

I checked Odeon and for two queens it is about $3100 and La Perla is $2700 so would you recommend odeon for our group?

Be careful with spellings so you don't end up in the wrong place.

La Perle is a hotel in the 6th.
La Perla is an Italian restaurant in the 1st.

Both hotels are in good locations with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. If you're happy with the room size and configuration, I would go with La Perle and spend the extra €€€ on shopping or a nice dinner.

jaenm is correct. Be very careful and exact with your spelling. It can take you to a wrong hotel, restaurant, or even town!

The key to enjoying the Christmas markets in Paris is to manage your expectations. I find them tacky overall, more carnival like, with overpriced food stands, and cheap foreign made goods. The city has made some effort to clean them up but, over all, Strasbourg is the place to go in France for Christmas markets.

For Christmas lights, do not miss Place Vendôme at night or the windows at Le Printemps and Galeries Lafayette on blvd Haussmann.

Just for reference: in December I'm spending 11 nights in a town an hour from Paris (with a large Christmas market) and we're getting a three bedroom Airbnb for $1961.00. So three bedrooms for $178/night. We will also have four adults (two couples) so it will only cost us $89/night for each couple.

And it is a beautiful, spacious apartment with modern furnishings and amenities.

Maybe you prefer hotels for whatever reason, but when traveling with four adults, you can get way more bang for your buck to rent an apartment.

Strasbourg is the place to go in France for Christmas markets.

I've visited a handful of cities during the Christmas season including Paris, Lille, Metz, Reims and Amiens. Never did Strasbourg. We're doing Christmas in France again this year and will be based in Amiens which has one of the largest Christmas markets in northern France. And of course all the holiday magic - Ferris Wheel, Carousel, skating rink, hot chestnuts, etc. But the best thing of all is the stunning light show on the Cathedral that is one of the most beautiful things I ever saw.

I agree that Christmas in Paris is "tacky" and was my least favorite of all.
