Paris Hotels and Restaurants near the Galleries Lafayette

We will be in Paris in May, 2023 for an organized tour and will be staying at the InterContinental Paris Le Grand Hotel at 2 rue Scribe, Paris 75009. Can anyone recommend a lesser expensive hotel (mid-range), with a lift, to stay at near that area (I believe it is near the Galleries Lafayette)? We would switch hotels when the tour begins.

Also, I know that there are places to eat in the Galleries Lafayette but can anyone recommend mid-priced cafes/restaurants in the area of the InterContinental? Do you know of any bakeries in that area?

The Hotel Saint-Petersbourg is as Parisian as it gets. It's right in that area. The breakfast is amazing and is has some great balcony rooms. It's my favorite hotel in Paris.

Just so you know, that's a really busy part of the city. You can look for Youtube videos where people have walked around that area. It also has a lot of passages.

I second the Hotel Saint Petersbourgh and also suggest Hotel Caumartin Opera -- Astotel. For restaurants, take a look at https://acote.paris/en.
