Seeking 3 star Paris hotel that does not have rugs in rooms. Can be wood, pergo, tile, etc. Husband suffers from asthma.

Wall to wall carpeting is very rare in Europe, both in homes and hotel rooms. I don't think I've ever seen it in any European hotel. Hotel rooms will likely have tiling or wood/parquet.
However most rooms, if not all, will have at least small area rugs on the side(s) of the bed(s).

I have stayed in the Hotel Tilsitt Etolie and it had no rugs. I would search for hotels you like and then call the hotel to find out if they have a rug or not in their rooms.

I would look for a modern hotle without the heavy drapes and old woolly area rugs ( even i rooms with hardwood or tile they have area rugs often) and those are dust collectors !! Ask the maid to keep the area rug out of the room too.

Most of the hotels I've stayed in in Paris have had wall-to-wall carpeting.
Hotel Castex does not have any carpeting, though.
If there are any hotels that you're considering, you should just take a look at the photos of the rooms, instead of calling or emailing the hotel, to help you decide.

don't know what hotels Roberto goes to but most of the hotels I have stayed in in Europe have had wall to wall carpeting very few have had wooden floors. I am trying hard to think of places I stayed in Europe that had wooden floors and the only place that springs to mind is a place in the centre of Riga, was a former palace and quite old.all modern hotels will have carpeting or rugs as you call them.

A hotel-booking website like booking.com will give you access to many photos of each hotel you are considering, a convenient way to select a few that might suit your needs. Be aware that a hotel may show as sold out on such a website and still have rooms available on its own website.

I really liked the location of www.hotel-du-loiret.fr/en, which fits the bill. I also have bookmarked the "minimalist" hotelandrea.paris, probably on a recommendation from this forum.
