I'm going to be in Paris on Bastille Day, and I'd like to have the option to see the fireworks without getting crushed in a crowd. Are there any hotels with Fete Nationale packages? Less expensive is better, but I know this will be a major splurge!
(I did something similar at Hogmanay in Edinburgh, which I highly recommend... both the hotel with a view and the multi-day event itself.)
IIRC, the fireworks are near the Eiffel Tower. Maybe Google hotels with an ET view, then cross check for reviews on TripAdvisor? You'd likely have to go to the hotels website for any package deals.
Try the Pullman Eiffel Tower. It will be pricey and the view will be much better from the ground mainly because of the angle at which the fireworks are launched. There is a YouTube video that someone posted of the fireworks from July 14, 2014 (I think it's called Bastille Day Pullman or something similar) that will help you get a sense of the view. Also try the Hotel Duquesne Eiffel. They might have a Fete Nationale package -- I doubt it but they might.
Best Western Hotel comes to mind. Though you won't see many fireworks from that angle, because they are supposed to fire from the Eiffel Tower, itself.
