Last year our Paris hotel booked a shared van shuttle that got us to Charles de Gaulle in time to get our departing flight. I forgot the name of the shuttle. As I remember, we paid 12 euros to the hotel and then 12 (or 18?) euros to the van driver- anyway, very reasonably priced. Anyone know this company? Thanks.
Have you asked the hotel?
How many people in your party? For just two euros more than the 48 euros you apparently paid, you can take a taxi. Taxis are fixed-rate at 50€ for up to four people from the right bank, 55 from the Left Bank. I really don't understsnd why people take shuttles any more.
That is an outrageous price for a shared shuttle when taxis are so cheap, reliable and you don't get diverted. Years ago we almost missed a plane when a shuttle driver got lost trying to find a last pick up in the burbs and we have never looked back.
I emailed the hotel (one of Rick Steves' Rue Cler recommendations, plus excellent TravelAdvisor reviews) and they are reserving space on the shuttle they use. Total for 2 people is 36 euros, which is what I remember. Thank you all. This Forum is wonderful.
But you will have to go who knows where in the city after you are picked u,p, and make how many other stops (both in the city and at the airport terminals). If you spent just 10 euros more per person, you'd get direct service. To each his own though.
