Paris hotel recommendations

On Friday my sister and I talked about going to Paris from April 19-26, and today we bought our plane tickets. That's the fastest trip-planning I've ever done. We'd like to stay in a hotel in the 5th, preferably near the Sorbonne. We like the vibe of that neighborhood and the proximity to several Metro and RER stops. Our budget is between 200 and 300 euros per night. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Try the Hotel Design de la Sorbonne. Some of their Design Deluxe rooms have a view of the Sorbonne. http://www.hotelsorbonne.com/en/ Also you could look at Hotel Les Dames du Pantheon but I don't know if they have any rooms with two beds (if that is a consideration). I am assuming that you are sharing a room. http://www.hotellesdamesdupantheon.com/en/ With its design theme, Les Dames might be even more fun for a sisters trip.

We liked the Hotel des Grandes Ecoles in the 5th, not far from the Sorbonne. It's well within your budget, as would be a great many fine hotels. You should try to line up your reservations soon as the best places go quickly. Booking.com is a useful search tool that lets you filter by location, price, amenities, etc. Unless booking.com offers a big discount, though, it's usually better to book through the hotel's own website.

I'm sure you'll get many other suggestions from people on this forum, many of whom have more experience than I do with Paris hotels. Have a wonderful trip!

For that budget I still love the idea of the Luxembourg Parc Hotel, right across from the Gardens and Cuisine de Philippe.

We really like this little hotel, Hotel Les Dames du Pantheon. It's a smaller, boutique hotel with unique rooms based on famous women of France. It's a bit of an odd theme but for some reason it works! They have several rooms that are well within your budget. The hotel faces the Pantheon and is in the neighborhood of the Sorbonne. It's two blocks downhill to Luxembourg Gardens and the nearest metro stop. We've stayed here twice...once before it was remodeled and once after...both times we had a great experience and really enjoyed the service, location, and vibe of the hotel.

We have stayed at the Home Latin and liked it. it is only a couple of blocks from the Sorbonne, close to Metro and RER stops, Notre Dame and all those good things. It is located on a side street and is really quiet for being in t he heart of a big city.

Hotel Henri IV Rive Gauche IV on Rue St. Jacque. It is in the area and less than 2 blocks from Notre Dame. The twin room we had was charming with a spacious bathroom and view of St. Severn church across the street.

The Hotel Royal Phare is very nice. We have also stayed at Hotel L'Avre.

Thank you all so much for these! For the hotels on busy (-ier) streets, does anyone know if they have a courtyard side which might be quieter?
