Paris Hotel Question - Last 2 nights

Hello Everyone,

We are participating in the RS Best of Paris Tour. We'll be staying at Hotel Londres near the Eiffel Tower for about a week. After that we go on a small side trip, and then come back to Paris for two nights before flying home. I'm wondering whether we should stay in a new area of the city for the last 2 nights, or head back near where the tour was staying?

Looking at what's available on booking.com in our price range: some Astotel options in the 8th and 9th arrs (i gather that's a chain), the COQ hotel Paris in the 13th, and a few other options in the 16th and 17th. We don't have plans for those last two nights other than walk around the city, spend some time in cafes and enjoy Paris as much as we can. Clean, comfortable and convenient would be first priorities for us. Thank you!

If u have found a gd place to stay then book it. U will have already experienced the rue clerr neighborhood with the tour, venture to a diff area. Paris is so diff from area to area.

I'd highly recommend that you keep looking. My favorite areas are the 4th (Marais & Ile St Louis, the little island next to the bigger island where Nôtre Dame is), the 5th (Latin Quarter), and the 6th (St Germain). Nôtre Dame is the center of Paris so these areas are very central. They are all very charming, with Ile St Louis and the Marais being the most charming areas of Paris imo.
The rue Cler, 7th, is not central and not my favorite area. Try something different!
You can walk to the most places from the 4th, 5th and 6th and you can walk along the river which is wonderful, especially at night.

Booking.com is a good resource but be sure to read many reviews and book directly with the hotel.

It's very helpful to have a good map of Paris, that shows the arrondissements, to get the lay of the land and see where potential hotels are located.

Have a great trip! Paris is wonderful!

I'd recommend the 3rd, 4th, 5th or 11th arrondissements. It's a whole different world than the area around the Eiffel Tower.

You can easily find hotel accommodations for your budget. Here's a recently renovated hotel in the Marais:
