Paris hotel one night help

We are flying into Paris CDG arriving 9:10 am May 9th and flying out of CDG the following morning 10:55 am. We will be back to tour Paris later but would like to stay somewhere this one night where we could walk around a little and have a few choices for dinner. What area should we look?

one more question-would we be able to lock up/store our suitcases at the airport so we wouldn't need to haul them to a hotel for just one night? We would have enough for one night in a carry on. We fly in on American and then fly out on Air France so I doubt we would be able to check it 24 hours ahead of time with Air France?

No luggage storage at airport.. for obvious safety reasons if you think about it..

What is budget .. I can recommend two inexpensive hotels in central locations.. easy to walk to river.. see Notre Dame, wander through the bustling Latin quarter etc.. however.. these are not fancy hotels.. I travel budget to moderate hotels.. so if you want 4 star lux.. I am not your help.. lol

You can take train from airport to Paris.. RER line B.. 10 euros each way. There is luggage storage at train station in Paris but if you are already in Paris why add an extra stop, just take luggage to hotel.

Our strategy was to find a centrally located hotel near an RER B stop where we could quickly get out to CDG for our flight. We chose the Best Western Ducs Bourgogne on Rue du Pont Neuf for our overnight stay. Easy walking distance to many sites with restaurants and shopping in the vicinity. Easy walk to Les Halles RER B in the morning.

I think "Baggage du Monde" still operates at CDG for left luggage. Check, out the website.

I wouldn't bother with checking your luggage at the airport or in a storage facility. No matter how much luggage you have, it would be easier to take it to your hotel. If you do have a lot of stuff, just take a taxi - flat fee is good for 4 passengers and all their luggage - 50 or 55 EU, depending on the hotel address.

Make sure to allow at least 1 hour travel time to CDG, as well as 3 hours checkin time.

We stayed in Hotel Diana, which is very centrally located near the Cluny Museum, & affordable.

Enjoy your trip!

IBIS at CDG Terminal 3. Check in, leave your bags, take RER into Paris without bags and return after dinner (and any evening entertainment you wish.) Hotel is clean, convenient.

Thanks everyone. We reserved a room at the airport hotel. That will make it all easier.
