Hi. Going to be in Paris for 2 nights on way to river cruise. Dad can only walk short distances without taking a break. 2 must sees are the Louvre and for me the impressionist museum. We will be taking train to Lyon. Will probably end up doing uber but am optimistically looking for a hotel on a good bus line. Any suggestions . We have been before and I can't remember the bus route that went past the vbro we stayed in thanks

I would look at the Andrea Hotel just off the Rue du Rivoli. A bus runs down Rue du Rivoli directly to the Louvre. Gare de Lyon is a short walk & metro ride away, but I agree with luggage a taxi or Uber is best when you catch the train.
The hotel has a small lift and lots of restaurants around it's Marais location.

Eastbound, bus route 69 right past the Louvre on Rue de Rivoli and westbound, it goes past the Louvre on Quai Francois Mitterand. Do you mean Musée de l'Orangerie when you mention the impressionist museum? Can you father walk for 10 minutes before needing a break. If so, bus 69 could work for both of your must sees but please do not forget that the bus stop may be close for one part of the trip but for the return will be on a different street for the return trip.
